Street Art in Cabbagetown, Atlanta

  Cabbagetown is one of Atlanta’s best street art viewing districts.  Cabbagetown is a neighborhood east of downtown Atlanta that has about a half mile of uninterrupted murals Legend has it that the neighborhood assumed the moniker “Cabbagetown” after a truck-load of cabbages spilled across the neighborhood;  A mural-filled walking tour of the district starts at the corner of Wylie Street and Pearl Street at the east end of a half-mile-long wall owned by the CSX Railroad. After an extensive effort towards revitalization (some would say gentrification), Cabbagetown reigns as a treasured locality in Atlanta.  In 2014, the annual Forward Warrior mural painting event was given a permanent home on the wall.
