Street Art in Cabbagetown, Atlanta

 Cabbagetown is one of Atlanta’s best street art viewing districts.

Cabbagetown is a neighborhood east of downtown Atlanta that has about a half mile of uninterrupted murals

Legend has it that the neighborhood assumed the moniker “Cabbagetown” after a truck-load of cabbages spilled across the neighborhood;

A mural-filled walking tour of the district starts at the corner of Wylie Street and Pearl Street at the east end of a half-mile-long wall owned by the CSX Railroad.

After an extensive effort towards revitalization (some would say gentrification), Cabbagetown reigns as a treasured locality in Atlanta.

In 2014, the annual Forward Warrior mural painting event was given a permanent home on the wall.

Cabbagetown has a reputation for being a welcoming place for artists and musicians

Cabbagetown in Atlanta has just an insane amount of incredible art. Abstract, realistic, cartoonish, metaphorical, you name it, Cabbagetown has it!

And it is ever-changing as murals are painted over and changed. The wall is repainted by different artists three times per year.

The tour map of cabbage town will be the perfect guide.

These are the murals during my visit May 2024.
